Fishing

Lake Livingston is best known for white bass, with strong crappie and catfish fishing year-round.

What's Biting

White bass are the lake's signature fish. They school up and run up the Trinity River arm in late winter and early spring, then chase shad across open water through summer and fall.

Crappie stack up around brush, bridge pilings, and stumps. Catfish are steady all year, and largemouth hold along the creek mouths and shoreline cover.

Texas fishing licenses and lake regulations are set by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Check current TPWD rules for Lake Livingston.
